The school has Safeguarding documents which are reviewed regularly. These are:

All staff receive annual Safeguarding update training and are aware of the procedures for passing on concerns within school. This also includes Prevent training, which helps to identify any early signs of radicalisation.  The team of Designated Safeguarding Leads regularly update their skills and knowledge through a variety of training courses, such as Early Help Assessments, Aim Training (sexual harassment) and Online Safety.

Every half term, we send a safeguarding newsletter out to staff, parents and governors, helping to refresh their knowledge and highlight any current concerns.  An update surrounding safeguarding at Broughton is shared among the governors on a termly basis and regular reminders about procedures are issued to staff in the weekly bulletin and in our staff briefing every half term.
