The school counselling service offers pupils time to explore their own feelings and emotions in a safe environment, working towards enabling them to gain an understanding of themselves or situations they may be facing.
Throughout the counselling process, the aim is to help the pupil find solutions, strategies and ways to make effective changes. This process is based on 6 sessions over 6 weeks, which will be reviewed.
Referrals for the counselling service can be requested by pupils, school, parents /guardians or outside agencies.
Recently set up is our Let's Talk It Out wellbeing group which is available to pupils every Wednesday and Thursday breaktime. This provides opportunities for talking about wellbeing, guidance and support, including special topics promoting self-esteem confidence and more.
Every Wednesday lunch time there is a new open-door policy available to pupils and staff for counselling- wellbeing. (Roots – room at back of library)
Let's talk! Let's make a difference!
