Broughton High School

Achieving Together

Character Development

“Pupils benefit from an exceptional personal development programme. They gain the knowledge that they need to understand, participate and succeed in modern Britain.”

Ofsted 2022

A high school plays a crucial role in fostering character development in its pupils, going beyond academics to shape well-rounded individuals.

At Broughton High School we achieve this by creating a positive and inclusive school culture that emphasises respect, empathy, and responsibility. This includes implementing clear and consistent codes of conduct, charity work, promotion of pupil-led initiatives like clubs and providing opportunities for pupils to take on leadership roles.

We believe that providing our pupils with the opportunity to learn and grown beyond academics helps provide a strong foundation for their character development.
