Year 9 STEM Competition
On Wednesday 27th November, Broughton hosted a Year 9 STEM competition that was run by the National Grid. Five other schools from the Preston area also attended. The day was comprised of three activities where points were collected towards an overall score.
- The first activity was to build a catapult and launch a ball from it.
- The second activity was to build a tower made from K'nex, that was both sturdy and at least one meter in height.
- In the final challenge, pupils were tested on their coding skills.
Broughton pupils were the deserved event winners. Well done to Mason Church, Amanda Osakwe, Isla Cookson, Jessica Brown, Adam Thorpe, Harry Cox, Athena He and Anabia Siddiqui.
