U16 Girls Football - Preston Cup Semi-Final

On Wednesday, we faced Archbishop Temple in the semi-final of the Preston Cup. After a slow start, the team finally settled and began to pressure the opposition. Soon after, May Ackley found the back of the net to take us into half time with a 1-0 lead.

The second half saw us push harder and create more scoring opportunities with several shots narrowly missing the goal. It wasn't long after that Olivia Newman-Kirk scored to give us a 2-0 lead.

Our game finished with a 4-0 victory with the final two goals coming from May Ackley.  The team will now face Our Lady's in the finals night at Deepdale on Monday. Good luck to the team!
