Swimming Success for Ben Logan, 7R
On Friday night, 16th January, at the Carnforth Otter’s Awards Evening, Ben was presented with the Mike Carroll Trophy for Outstanding Team Member. This award is presented to the team member who has brought the most points in team competitions throughout the year.
Ben was also presented with the Top Boy Award from Division A in Micro League which is a swimming league for those aged 12 and under across the North West, where clubs compete against each other. The Division A contains all the top clubs from across Lancashire and Ben was the swimmer who won the most races and individual points from races in his age group.
This weekend, and the weekend of the 7th/8th February, Ben will be competing in the Lancashire County Championships where he has qualified in 12 events; this is a massive achievement. Ben goes into the Championships ranked as the fastest swimmer for his age over the last 12 months for 50m Butterfly. He has races in all strokes for: 50m, 100m and Breaststroke, Freestyle, Backstroke and IM in the 200m.
