On Tuesday 14th June, we had 14 pupils helping out at Preston Primary Schools Sports Festival. The event ran at UCLAN and involved all the primary schools in Preston competing across several sports. We provided umpires for tennis and hockey; the pupils umpiring were responsible for not only officiating the event but also for organising the teams, recording scores and time keeping. Our pupils did a fantastic job, so much so that I have received an email from a primary school teacher praising them and saying what a brilliant job they did. They were a credit to Broughton; well done to all involved!
